I have currently been diaganosed with HSV-2. In which I know I have passed to my boyfriend, because I just found out about it when I started having symtoms. If we both now have HSV-2 is there a possibility that if we have oral sex that we would get HSV-1 also if were already infected? Have u heard about lectroject device as being a cure for herpes? Are there any cures yet? I have also heard that using the same drinking glass can spread the virus is this true? So I shouldn't drink after my kids?

If you both have HVS2, you can't give each other type 1. They are separate strands. If you both have had type 2 a while after first OB and up to a year, you don't have to worry about it spreading to or catching it in other parts of your body. I'm not sure how long it take for the antibodies to be effective but less than 1 year.

If you have genital herpes, you don't have to worry about sharing drinking glasses.

There is no cure. But drugs relieve sypmtoms.
