I supposedly got an On The Record decision a month ago.
Does anyone know who I could call to check on the status of where my case is now.
Thanks

If you are talking abou SS, you can call their 800 # at ssa-1213. They will be able to tell you if it has been processed yet or not. They can also give you an average amount of time, until you receive your money.

I want to call them but I am worried I might mess something up, but I am sure they get thousands of calls a day.
Do you think it is safe to call and ask them how my case is coming along or should I just wait :)

Hi Delta. . . The 1-800# is available for us at anytime. I call at least once a day. I have NEVER gotten the same person twice. All that said, I have never received accurate information from them either ! My on the record decision was made on Feb. 25. The information is NOT at the national number yet. I called my attorney to make SURE it was done and he told me not to rely on that number once I know a decision is made. Like all other aspects of SSD, they are slow too. :( I did call my congressman's office again and they HAVE the information already. I would call the l-800 number just to make myself feel better (I too, was waiting FOREVER), however, I also called my attorney and my congressman's office. Every seven days I would make ALL the calls. I'm waiting for my approval letter and then there's another wait for the $$.:( It's a hurry up and wait game, meanwhile. . . beans and weinies for us again !

Well I went ahead and called and they have no record of me getting an On The Record decision, infact the lady I talked to said she never heard of such a thing happening that it always goes to a hearing.
I think you are right about them not having accurate information.
I kind of wish I hadn't have called although one good thing is that they had the wrong address since I moved a year ago, they still had the old address even though I had told everyone else the new one.
Geez :(

I'm glad you called and gave them your new address ! Like I said I've called that number several times and although they are very nice I don't think they get the information in a timely way. . . Well, no letter for me today. . . another day . . . another dollar.

I feel so bad that I gave you the number. I call every week or so and have gotten 2 peices of information. I guess it is a now and then type of thing. Anyway, at least you got your address changed. Wouldn't that have been awful if they were sending your check to a wrong address.
