This goes out to our Dear Friend Fabby, and to ALL of us today!

I'm sending positive thoughts for good things to come your way.

Fabby- I pray that your appointment goes well with the doctor, and I HOPE he realizes how wrong he was to treat you so badly. Please know we are all here for you.

Let's all band together to support each other. This community is a great place, and I am so thankful for my family here. You guys are the best.

Thank You All!

Thanks so much Ozzy!

It actually went really well, I said everything I wanted to say, he apologized, and he put me back on full meds with an appointment in a month,

He said he went through my records and has 0 problem with me taking narcotics. I put a more detailed update on my other thread, if anyone wants to know more.

Thank you all so much, I could not have done it without you, Before I had this board and you all to support me, there is no way I would have confronted him about his behavior towards me today, I would have been too scared.

I think a lot of people, particularly ones that are new to pain managenment, think we tend to over-react about complaince, I think my situation is a cautionary tale about why we do that and what can happen so easily, they dont owe you pain meds, and they cant throw you into withdrawal at the drop of a hat if they think you arent being careful.

I think it should be done with respect and not by yelling or listening to your patient, but it could happen to any of us. Hopefully next time this doctor has this happen, he will at least look at the persons chart before picking up the phone.

Thanks again!!

Fabby

Please see my post today (3/4/08) @ 11:05 AM under the thread "Doctor took me off of Norco for no reason." I'd cut and paste it here but the rules don't permit cut and pasting.

I think Docs need to show a little more restraint when cutting a patient off....There are too many "gray" areas for a one size fits all policy.

Very glad it worked out though...I was stressed over it quite frankly.

Fabs-
I would do back-flips for joy if I could. You deserved a HUGE apology, and I'm gald you got one. I'm also glad this doctor realized he was wrong. He really should have been nicer and not punished you because of what his other 3 patients had done.

You had every right to stand up for yourself- PJ's & all!

Executor, I'm gonna go take a look at that post.

Hope everyone has a blessed day! ;)
