How do I tell my partner about H? I guess I have just dated a lot of jerks in the past who want to stay far away from me once they find out. I have been dating this current guy for awhile now but haven't had sex so I haven't had to say anything yet. I don't want to wait to tell him for too long though, otherwise it seems like I'm lying even if we don't have sex for awhile.

How serious is your relationship with that person, and how much do you care for each other, I think bonding with them is very important, don't egage in any sex, until you tell them, tell them as much as you know about the virus, don't look away when your explaining it to them, be honest, and look them in the eye, if they care enough about you or love you, they'll be with you regardless, I know how do we even fix are mouths to tell a person, easy said then done, soon or later you'll have to tell them. Im dealing with the same situation right now.

My gf waited 3 months before she told me, I think that's a good amount of time. I was attached enough to her to not run away scared but instead did some research and decided it was safe to pursue the relationship.

i dont think that there is any "right" time frame for this. Since being diagnosed last June, I have told 2 people. I was incredibly afraid and thought they would RUN. I honestly felt as if "no one could love me". I was fortunate enough to have 2 people that chose to stand by me. (I was intimate with one, the other relationship didnt work out). Its a really personal thing to tell someone, but you may just be surprised that not all men are jerks! I sure as hell was LOL
