Sorry Micki, but this isnt an MS thing...you need to see a respiratory doc or an Ear, Nose and Throat guy and get tested more thoroughly...
Hope you feel better.

mickey-
I have breathing issues but have not been diagnosed yet with ms. They think it could be ms, sarcoidosis, or vasculitis with me. My chest x-ray, chest CT, and sats are all normal as well. I am not in terrible shape besides the undiagnosed autoimmune syndrome, and find it hard to lay flat at night. I am also only 23yrs old and should not be experiencing this so young! I am not overweight or anything, and I try to work out when I can. I go to see my MS specialist tomorrow and we'll see what she has to say. I just had a bunch of testing done that has been negative so far, besides a positive spinal tap. I am considering going for pulmonary function testing as well. Sometimes I feel like my heart is stressing even though I've felt like this for years and my docs say theres nothing wrong with my heart. Thanks for writing this post, I almost completely forgot to follow up with the breathing thing since I've had it for 2 plus years! Hopefully this SOB will subside for both of us soon.
Take care
