Can anyone tell me what this is for? I am starting that this month. I don't want to have to call and get the DUMB nurse and speak to her for a half hour again today. I am also starting clomid a bit later than usual, CD 5. Last month it was on day 3. Thanks

Hi Jennifer,
My office called this the Clomid Challenge test and it's to check your ovarian reserve. They drew blood on day 3 to check my FSH, I took Clomid cd 5-9, and blood to check FSH again on cd10. My office wanted the FSH to be lower than 10. Hopefully you get wonderful results.

Jennifer,
I have never done the clomid challenge test but I would imagine that the CD 3 would be a "baseline FSH" and then a day 10 would be a mid cycle one to check your response to the clomid.
not sure if that is correct, but hopefully someone else can add more clarity. Isn't it frustrating when you need clarification and you have to wait for the nurse and then she acts like you should already know.
Good luck and hope you pass with flying colors
It sounds to me that they are trying something different this month with you. Clomid can be administered for 5 days between days 3 and 9 that means you may start on day 3 , or day on 4 or on day 5, and take for 5 days.
Last month you said you started on day 3 and this time they are trying to play with the dates. It's all good, and hope that this protocol will be what you need and I hope you get the BFP this month.
Good Luck,
Mady
PS: Christin is right, it could be the Chalenge test, never had it so thats why I didnt recognise it. Its good, and I hope you get your BFP this time.
