View Full Version : Small bump on top of foot

Hello all,

I am hoping that someone can help me out here. I am an avid runner and have developed a cist looking bump on the top of my left foot near the ankle. It sits on the top of my foot on top of the bone - so it seems. It is moveable and not hard at all. Few months back I had purchased new running shoes because it was time to and the ones I had hurt in this exact location. What may this sound like to anyone?

Thanks for any suggestions or comments!

Deb

Does it have any color to it? How far can you move it? Is there a vein or artery near it?

No color, It sits in the middle of the foot right on top after your ankle. If you are lacing up your running shoes it would be right where you make the knot in the shoelace at the top of the shoe. It feels like thick somewhat squishy skin and I can move it over the bone that is on top of the foot.
Does this sound like a cist?

Sounds like a ganglionic cyst.
