hi, i had super rapid heart rate on 2 nights. it was so high that i tot i was going to die. could be anything between 140-180. the episodes last abt an hr. hyperthyroid test came back -ve. would be going for a holter test soon. i just saw something abt vagus nerve and that my gastric probloem could be the cause of the rapid heart rate? i have this problem that i feel that i need to burp but hard to burp. and after managing one burp, it wouldn't be enough.

It is true that GERD and palpatations can be linked. I've seen two theories on this, the one you mention, that the GERD and palpatations are linked through a nerve problem. But also they can be linked if anxiety is the root cause of both. I suspect, as with most things, it depends on the person.
