View Full Version : X knowingly gave me herpes, now claims he's clean??

Two weeks after I first had sex with my ex, I started feeling like crap. I had a bladder infection and was very sore down there. I complained to my x of my symptoms, and one day when I was in horrible pain he tells me he got a script for me. I was like huh?? How do you know what's wrong with me. After pestering him about it, he admits that he had the same symptoms during his first outbreak and the meds he was given will help. I was floored. The pain and symptoms got so bad I ended up in urgent care. They tested me, gave me meds for everything, and confirmed I did have herpes.

Eventually I forgave him for not telling me in the first place. But about a month before we broke up, he calls me and tells me that his X (who had it as well but they didn't know who gave it to who) got retested and showed up negative. Is that possible?? How can someone test positive then negative??

I'm pretty sure he has it, I've never shown any symptoms until after I had slept with him, and I saw later on, what seemed to be an outbreak. I test negative before him (because I would get tested once a year to make sure I'm clean) He claims he's clean - and is continuing to sleep with other women. He tells me he uses condoms, but as I've read so much, that doesn't mean they wont get it because the virus affects the whole boxer region. Also I don't understand how he got a script in the first place if he didn't have it. He told me that he never actually got tested, but he told his doctor the symptoms and found out that someone he was with had it.

Is he in denial?? Or is he really clean?? I fear that he's still passing this around. Is there anything that can be done?
