My husband just had open surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm (6cm); he has complained of being tired for many years. I've read there are usually no symptoms with AAA (his was found while they were checking for gallstones). Does anyone know what we can expect now that the surgery is over? or if you have had the surgery did you feel better or notice any difference?

my friend had this surgery 8 mos ago and something went horribly wrong and she can not use her legs. Do you know of any groups out there that she can get support from(talk groups) to share support stories
