so I saw my urologist today and he has been scheduled for the uretheryscope procedure on tues. what is this procedure like? is there a lot of pain afterwards? dr said that he will be putting a stent in place is this very uncomfortable? and what is the average healing time? how long do the stents have to stay there before they are removed and how are they removed? dr seemed in a rush so therefore im left with multiple questions plus people who have been through it ususally have better answers than the dr ever could. thanks for any replys or helpful information that i may need. im just so looking forward to being out of pain due to my 6mm baby that is stuck. im getting very tired of taking the pain meds. thanks again:confused::confused

i think it is somewhat painful just like any operation
most say the stent is the most problem for them. Not everyone gets a stent
Most whom do have it about a week. You will be thought of

The procedure is uncomfortable but not that painful I was awake for all of mine. The pain after is very intense but comes in waves but does not last long, about half a day. Get some good pain med and hot showers help lot. The stent is uncomfortable while it is in, but not sure how long yours will be in. My first stent one was in for 3 months, the second was in for 6 weeks and I have refused the third one because they are going to remove the kidney soon so I do not need to worry about preserving function in that kidney. They are removed the same way they go in but it only takes about 5 minutes to do it and it hurts less.

Good advice take a couple days off work if you can, hot showers help alot, get some movies to watch while in your bed. If you have any other questions post them. good luck.
