pattyromero 03-08-2008, 11:43 AM why is my foot cold after the cordisone shot? janewhite1 03-09-2008, 12:59 AM When did you get it, in what part of your foot, and for what problem? Is it because you've been icing it? You're supposed to ice it at least 3 times within 24 hours, anyway. pattyromero 03-09-2008, 01:01 PM I got the shot 3 weeks ago, inserted into the inner side of the foot, under the ankle. I had pain, kind of a bruised feeling in my heels and the balls of my feet for years. and thru time have been unable to wear high heels because they cause extreme pain. he took xrays which only showed a slight spur in my left heel, but nothing else. but since the shots, the pain is terrible! I have alot of pain walking and even when I'm not on my feet. he said he doesnt know what is wrong, prescribed Vicodin, which doesnt help either. I had an MRI, but he hasnt called with results yet. It was alot less pain before the shots. I have to wonder if something went wrong with the shots. AnnD 03-09-2008, 01:13 PM I was told by our specialist that Cortisone shots most often make the pain seem worse for a short while then starts to feel better. The time frame for that may be a couple weeks?...just depends but then sometimes Cortisone just does not work at all. The shot may not have been given in the right place? It is hard to know. Sorry it is kind of a waiting game. |
