I was sexually harrassed by my boss, he has herpes. He forcefully pulled my pants and underwear down and tried to perform oral sex on me and his mouth and tounge did touch my vagina and outer parts of my vagina...So my question is, Is it a possibility that I could contract the herpes virus and how long does it really take until a blood test will show a positive or negative result? He didn't have a break out on his mouth, does that even matter? I yelled out that I knew he had herpes and he replied that he didn't have them in his mouth! But this man gave this std to my friend and she has both stages??? I know he takes medication too, as far as what my friend has told me because she use to date him. Do you think that my chances of contracting herpes is greater or lesser being it was oral? Please get back to me asap!!!!PLEASE

OK well, first of all, I hope he's not your boss anymore and you've taken steps to have him removed from the workplace!
If he was telling the truth and he doesn't have oral herpes (Have you EVER seen him with a cold sore??), then him performing oral sex on you would not give you the virus. You need to come into contact with the affected area (his genitals) directly in order to get it. Your friend may have got both genital and oral by performing oral sex and having intercourse with him - contact with his genitals.
It will take 12 - 16 weeks before you can take a blood test. I would certainly suggest you do so. I would also go take one now. You may already have herpes (80% of the public does, and most don't know it), so it's wise to get a baseline test to see whether or not he's given it to you or if you had it already. Ask for an IgG Type specific test - HerpeSelect is the most common in the states.
Assuming he does have oral herpes, the chances of him spreading the virus to you if he didn't have an outbreak are extremely low - however as your friend can attest it is possible. The statistic indicates a 9% chance per year for a woman having unprotected sex with an infected partner. Remember, that's per year. If he really is on meds, then that would reduce the chances by about 50%. Overall, you're chances are REALLY LOW.
