Im not sure which thread I should post this question on but this seemed like the best bet. Ive been on seroquel for about a year(daily) for migraine prevention and stadol NS for about 5 years for when i need to get rid of really bad ones. I take that about once every 2 weeks. now suddenly whenever i take either of them my heart races and i have trouble breathing! it just came out of nowhere! i went to 3 different docs and they just thought i was having a allergic reaction but ive been on them for so long and it seems odd that i would have an allergic reaction to both of them all of the sudden after so long? the other one thought i was just having anxiety but the problem only occurs when i take them. anyone have anything similiar happen to them before? why would i suddenly have this after so many years? and im on other medications and when i take them im fine. i did all sorts of tests and nothing is wrong with my heart or anything and my BP wasnt too high. anyone have any insight as to why this would suddenly happen? thanks ahead of time.

There is no rhyme or reason to allergies. My daughter has eating apples all her life(is in late 30's) and now all of a sudden she can't eat apples..her lips and eyes swell up. She has tried all kind of ways...washing,peeling,cooking,just different ways of preparing them and yet still can't eat a fruit she so loves. She did as a child have severe allergies to things but seemingly out grew it all...guess not. Medication is the same thing...it just took you 5 years to develop your allergy to them...and of course as our bodies age god knows what is in store for us from one day to the next! I do hope you are not taking those same meds. In this day an age I would hope you have at least tired the Migraine meds so you don't have to take unnecessary meds. good luck.

there are some meds that cause a reverse reaction after long time use
so yes it could be the meds
hopefully they can change them and it will stop
