Yesterday, I had pretty bad reflux in the morning. And today, the spaghetti sauce I ate (not very spicy, but some spices) would burn my esophagus on the way down. Not painful, just a slight burning feeling. This is also the case with wine and hot liquids.

Any else with gerd have a burning feeling when certain foods go down? I'm only 30 years old, but I'm already fearing esophageal cancer due to my long-lasting gerd that I've put off treating until now.

Yes, I sometimes have burning with hot or spicy foods and I'm on Nexium.
