I would like to touch base with anyone else who is in a similar situation. My son was diagnosed with SVT when he was 2 weeks old. As you know, it was the scariest moment in my life to discover him pale and panting in his bassinet. After a couple of days in the hosptal, with several breakthrough episodes of 300+ bpm, his attacks were controlled digoxin and he has been on it ever since with no further episodes....Thank God!! His dosage is now .6cc and he is around 21lbs. The cardiologist is not going to up the dosage anymore b/c he wants to wean our son of the digoxin with the hopes that he is one of the few to outgrow it. I am scared to death to witness another attack although I know what to do, how to handle it, and am aware that it is rarely life threatening. I would love to hear from anyone who is in my shoes or has any advice. Or if you would just like to share your experience, I would like to hear it. God bless to all!!

im so sorry to hear your baby has this condition. i have had it since i was 15, once a year, and now im 31. in the begining, it didn't bother me since i went into normal rythm within hours. but lately it has lasted almost a full day. i am using medication to control it.

in part you are correct, it is NOT life threatning. but it is a very annyoing palpation feeling. i can only prey he gets better and not have it again. i have come to live with this condition.

good luck!
