Is it possible to have a medical condition that would cause out of control eating? If there is what can be done about it? Or could it be some kind of a deficiency? I really need help! I followed the program with the initials WW for about a year and a half – lost 111 pounds. Than about 8 months ago I got sick first with salivary gland trouble than diagnosed with TMJ. Since that time I have not been able to get my eating under control! I won't call this binge eating but I do crave carbs and sweets to the point where sometimes I think I could kill for a candy bar! I was never like this before and no matter how hard I try I can’t control it! I have regained 45 of the 111 pounds I lost and it’s really taking it toll on my self-esteem not to mention my waistline! I really need to lose this weight - Does anyone have any ideas or suggests of what could be causing this or how to get back on track?

Thanks for the help

I lost my weight the first time pretty fast. Got discouraged on a plateau and stopped counting... When I wanted to get back to it I was up nearly all of my weight... but part of me couldn't do it. I, like you say, craved all the bad stuff. I go out of control not binge, but I felt my body NEEDED the carbs and sugar.

It's not a medical condition, it's your mindset. Only you are responsible for what you put in your mouth. It's your choice. Unless you are on a medication, I would say you just need to work on positive thoughts. When you see the candybar.. remind yourself how far you've come. Don't go back.. keep going forward.

Thanks SecretName!

I think you are right - I guess sometimes I was just hoping for a medical reason so I could be "fixed" :-)

Thanks again
