Before I was placed on Toporol 50XL for angina, my resting pulse was in the mid 50's. Now after about three years on this drug it usually runs 49-52. It did drop down to 38 the last time I was in hospital, but was not a result of this drug.

I'm a 53 year old male.

I'm an 18 year old female. I'm on Toprol for PSVT. Before I started taking it my heart rate at rest was running about 90-95. I've been taking it for almost a year and my heart rate at rest now runs about 70-75.
