I am 56 and husband 57. We started taking low dose aspirin 6 months ago. We did it without DR knowing. Is this a good thing for us to do. I am type 2 diabetic and he has high colesterol. We plan on making this a life long thing. All we have read and heard sound like it is a good thing to do.......

Aspirin is a blood thinner but you really need to mention it to your doctor, just in case theres a medication that may react to it.

*I am prescribed to take it as a blood thinner due to a blood clot.

My parents have taken it for other reasons but their doctor does know they take it.
