I had a very successful nissen fundoplication ten years ago and six months ago all of my GERD symptoms returned. No medication has helped and the endoscope showed a hiatal hernia. I see a surgeon on Thursday about it. I was wondering if anyone out there has had a second nissen fundoplication and whether the second is more difficult?
Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I will make sure to ask.
Also, were they able to do your surgery laproscopically?
I hope you are finding more success with your second surgery!
