Hi All,

I have a question. My Father is 81 and in not so good health. He needs to have a nephrectomy to remove one kidney. He has an artificial heart valve and on coumadin (blood thinners) and has a bad kidney. He also has 7 heart stents. He's been very inactive now for a long time.

Do you or anyone you know at this age with bad health ever had a nephrectomy? I'm wondering if he can survive such a huge surgery???

Any experiences are greatly appreciated.
