My mother is going in to hospital on 2nd April for a bowel resection for Adenocarcinoma of her transverse colon.If the operation is straight forward and she feels well enough can she go on a planned 2 week holiday to Spain on 11th May?
Would prophylactic oral antibiotics be of any benefit before going into hospital?
