I've been having issues for about six weeks now. Have been on three courses of antibiotics and now I have blood in my urine. It presented about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I did a kidney flush and it was no longer visible, but microscopic. I went to the doc who sent off a culture and it was negative. Then she thought maybe I passed a stone and said I would have some left over blood. Friday, the blood is visible again in my urine. I go to Med 7 Urgent Care and they say they can see red and white blood cells, but no bacteria. They put me on Cipro. I went back to my doc on Monday, still some white cells (trace) and she sends me for a KUB xray. Results not back today (which to me means nothing egregious or they would have been all over it.) Uro consult not yet approved. Today, the blood is visible again. The doc thought maybe a stone that is stuck somewhere. I'm starting to really worry while they take their sweet time figuring this out. Anyone with similar issues?
Thanks!

KUB xray is not gonna see a lot of things. It show the size of kidney and kidney stones that are visible to xray only. I would ask my doctor to have a Pelvis CTscan. They are not sure if you are bleeding from your kidney or your bladder. Sometimes you have to be proactive of telling the doctors what you want done otherwise they will wait till you have many other symptoms to show before they become aggressive. Im not sure if it has something to do with your insurance. I had kidney stone and my doc ordered a KUB, I insisted a ctscan instead. I did the CTScan and found out I dont only have a stone but a cyst in one of my ovary ready to rupture. I had surgery 5 days after. My kidney stone is still here, very small and tiny...

Thanks... they called me on Thursday and said they see calcifications on the xray and if I was still having symptoms to have a CT scan. They're trying to schedule that now. The symptoms come and go. My friend said it took them four months to figure out she had a kidney stone! Oh my, I'd go crazy from all the waiting!
