I don't have enough money to go to the gym, so i have decided to walk home from work everyday to have regular excercise.

It's about a mile and it normally takes me about 40 minutes of brisk walking.

how many calories should this burn off?

Also on my days off i walk about 2 miles in a nature park taking about an hour and a half.

Yes, walking is fantastic exercise! 1-2 miles is good to start with, but as your fitness level improves you may want to increase the distance or the pace or both. For example, as you get better, aim to take that same one mile walk in 35 mins. Really try to use your arms and get a good pace going! This will burn the most calories. No strolling along :) It is difficult to say how many calories it will burn as this depends on how much you weigh. People who weigh more burn more calories. I would estimate that a walk at your pace of 1.5 mi per hr would burn approx 150 calories.
