My daughter just had surgery on the llth of March she had a large bunion removed all 4 toes tendions replaced and 3 toes shortened. She also has 4 screws and l pin. She is having a lot of trouble with her pain meds. She was on Vicodon which made here throw up. They put her on darvocet and she is still thowing up but not as much. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they did for it. I think she was eating the wrong type of foods at first I switched her to clear liquids soups and crackers. Any help anyone has would be much appreciated.

i never experienced this, but i think your daughter should take advil, but calling the dr would be best. i think when you take medication like that it should be with food.

Yep, I would call the doc and ask for different pain meds. Vicodin is pretty strong. Maybe something like percocet or a more mild pain med will give her pain relief without the nausea and vomiting.
