I have a problem where very often when i am trying to sleep my feet become so hot and irritated that i simply can't get any rest. Splashing water on them is a temporary relief and my feet become just as hot as they were as soon as the water dries. The only thing that wolrks is walking outside bearfoot in the cold night but when summer hits this is impossible. I have heard this is a symtom if diabetes but i don't show other symptoms. If anyone else has had and cured this i would appreciate them telling me how!

Has nobody had this problem? I have heard it is sometimes related to diabetes but i don't think i have many other symptoms. While i am quite often i tired i am not constantly urinating although i do urinate in large quantities. Anyone at all?

Hey Jaeger, Yes, I have this problem and there are a lot of people on this board that have the same problem. Most of us have Fibromyalgia. I was the same as you, I would have to run cold water on my feet, which only lasted while the cold was there, after going back to bed, the heat ruturned, it is very disruptive to your sleep. The only thing that has helped is Lyrica which is treating my Fibromyalgia. Before taking Lyrica, I was taking Neurontin which helped for a while then quit working. These meds are treating the nerve endings. I am so happy now with Lyrica, my feet hardly ever get too hot. You might ask your doctor about Fibromyalgia.

Take care, Sunny

Due to an ankle problem, I've had to learn to sleep with my feet hanging off the end of the bed. Might help a little with the burning, not sure.
