sorry if im giving away too much information here but i am very concerned and i do plan to see a doctor about my problem but...
i tend to pass food through very quickly, i eat lunch and then perhaps 2 hours later its passes through as a stool and its not usually formed properly. i know its the same food from lunch because say if i eat veggies it comes out relativley unchange and while i know fiber goes through relativley unchanged cause it cant be digested i still dont think it should be passing through as quickly as it does...
any ideas?

I have this problem too and my GI dr. said yesterday to take 1 Immodium a day to slow things down. If it doesn't help, take two and so on until I find the dosage that works. I'm not thrilled about taking it everyday, but it seems to be working. He said it was from my colon resection and colostomy/reversal surgery, but I had this all my life.I had an upper GI with small bowel follow thru a few month age and it usually takes 3-4 hours to pass the barium thru to the small bowel, but it passed thru me in 20 minutes. I wasn't surprised. I was going 6-8 times a day, but with the Immodium I can cut that down to 2-3. Good luck.

Yours sound more like a type of Colitis.

This could be related to IBS but Id get it checked out. Although I have to say I can eat breakfast and go within 1/2 hour. This apparently can be a normal IBS function.
