Last week at a drs. appointment I admitted to the dr that heavy drinking possibly played a role in my tia. I said Im drinking maybe 3 beers a week now, eating better, and exercising. He said, "I could get away with a little more but that's it." I mentioned how my beer gut has shrunk and I've lost about 15 pounds. I asled if I could possibly have any liver damage. He just looked at my stomach, felt the right side and said, "no that takes years unless you drink a 5th of whiskey every night." I find it questionable that he could make this determination with no test, but who knows if my insurance would cover a true test anyway. So, I guess I'll take his word for it.
