Take drugs to help you get thru the pain. Then start walking...little by little.
I have no credentials re: the kind of pn that you have. My thing is Diabetic pn

25 years ago, when i walked it was very painful. I couln't even kneel in church.
Had very little feeling in my legs and feet.

STARTED EXERCISING..first walking a mile....with great pain. However, it got easier
as I went slowly. I found then, while I was exercising, that my mind was
directed to the exercise and it took my mind away from pn. Within 3 years, I started
doing marathons and through the years have done 16 NYC marathons, 10 other ones
and I am, at 70, in the NYC lottery for this year.
Whereas, any doctor would tell you that diabetes and pn gets much worse during
the passage of 25 years, my situation has vastly improved. I have full feeling in my
lower extremities. All due to exercise, good diet, a rigid vitamin therapy
regime on a daily basis, and drugs. Unless you are afraid to become addicted
to drugs, which not is a rational fear since patients who take medication for
pain don't become junkies, tell your doctor to up the ante re: drugs and when
your pain disappears...say Hurrah and demand that medicine. If your doctor
refused to give it to you, it's time for a new doctor. The Woondog
