Does anyone know what a high ionized calcium would suggest? My calcium was 10 (8.5-10.2) which is normal but my ionized calcium was high 1.35 (1.17-1.32) I have symptoms of hyperparathyroidism (a lot of them) but could it be something else? The biggest problem I have is severe pain in the bones/muscles/joints. I have a very hard time even rolling over in bed at night. Any help would be appreciated. I go this week to see the Endo and I hope I can talk him into looking into this as I keep reading that high Calcium (or ionized calcium) is a problem. I also have thyroid issues but I feel as if the calcium issue is on top of it all! I have seen four different types od doctors and as they don't seem to want to work together, I feel as if I need to try and solve this myself! Does anyone really care anymore? Hoppy:confused:
