Ive decided its definitely time to keep a migraine journal cuz its been like 12 years and i still cant figure them out. What i would like to know is if there is somewhere online i can look and find a list of migraine medications. Ive been on so many and i want to have a list of them so i can keep track of what ive tried. But I cant think of them all and ive had so many doctors that the ones im currently working with dont have all my records. any good website reccomendations? Thanks ahead of time.

Migraines are soo horrible :( I to suffer from them due to a brain tumor I had when I was 10. But I keep a migraine journal as well. Yet we still haven't cured them.

I have tried a few. Topomax, Depakote, Neurontin, Cymbalta, Verapimil. They keep telling me mine are not food related. We know if the barometric pressure changes, I will be sick. About 24-36 hrs before rain, snow, etc. I know it is coming. They also say mine are a type of seizure. If I see flashing lights, I usually get one. I don't ever get behind school buses with flashing lights, strobe lights, etc. My Dr. that moved told me that low carb worked with children with epilepsy and it may be good to go on ketogenic diet since mine were a type of seizure. Haven't tried it, yet.

wow im so glad i came accross thos post i too suffer from headaches mine is from seizures though but i have the headaches everyday my neuro dr wont give me anything for the headaches though im currently on 1500 mgs depakote for the seizures he says the depakote will help with the headaches but it hasnt and i been on depakote 6 mos now i just recently got a dr to believe me when i told many i was having seizures as i had them when i was 4 im now 45 so im on darvacets which dont help they do a little but im only to take 2 a day so in the am till bedtime i suffer with the headaches and my headaches never go away i tried 2 that the old neuro dr gave me but they didnt work at all the lights dont bother me i just drop with my seizures and they are horrible and just before i have a seizure my head starts hurting horriblly i have begged my dr to please find something that works he wont and my gp wont either there has to be something out there for my headaches and im changing neuro drs too because i told him i dont like the depakote and he still wont change me number one they make me so tired and i get moody and cry i feel its not the right medication for me plus he checked my levels at 5 mos because my seizures came back so alls he did was up the dose but i sure wish i could get rid of the headaches they are horrible.
not sure what type of headaches i have but i believe mines from my seizures.

i was suppose to back in aug 07 but my seizures went away well i thought but then came back 2 mos later but i went to st vincent in indianapolis and that was a mistake they blamed all my seizures on panic so i left after 1 day i was suppose to stay 3 days but they upset me cause i knew i was having seizures not panic ,so i finally found a neuro dr who said yes mine is seizures he put me on depakote 1000mgs for 5 mos then they came back and he checked my levels and ranges are 50-100 mine was 50.9 but he said for seizures mines suppose to be between 85-100 so mine were low i stopped the depakote which i shouldnt have but i cant handle them they made me sleep and i got so crabby but the crabbiness could be from my thyrold its kind of out of whack right now it goes up and down all the time ,im starting to get that dizzy feeling again so i stay home till i see the new neuro i had a few seizures after i stopped the meds but so far no big ones and i hate darvacets i mean i like them when they take away the headaches but they also cause some side effects like constipation but they wont give me nothing that works unless they just dont know what to give me for the headaches and just before i get a big seizures my head starts hurting really bad thats when i know im about to have a seizure sometimes i have no warning .so im hoping the new dr is better then the last 3 i have been too.
