A friend had a mastectomy less than 2 years ago, followed up with chemo, with a port in her chest for a year. Now they have found a 'hot node' and are going to remove her lymph nodes and I just wondered what the implications of that are. If the Ca is in her nodes, would that indicate that it may have metasticized elsewhere? I tried researching this but didn't find anything specific and wondered if anyone here might know.
I am worried.
