It's stronger than over the counter medication. user12543 03-17-2008, 08:45 AM I have not been diagnosed with gerd or talked to a doc about heartburn. I do not get heartburn often but when I do it hurts! Like now it hurts to breathe and I feel burning in my chest. I know this is heartburn or acid reflux or whatever its called, but I have taken a whole roll rolaids it is not helping. I do not want to waste my time with the docs since this does not happen often even my mom says they will prolly not give me any meds for this so is there anything else I can do to relieve this? from experience, ive learnd that cutting out fatty foods (not saying you eat them) is a good idea. apparently milk is also a natural anti-acid. taking too many anti-acids can actually cause more heartburn. your doctor or pharmasist would probably say the same thing. i did NOT join this site as a joke. i want to help people anyway i can......regardless of age |
