I was just told that my father has to undergo a 2d bipass surgery, but due to the placement of a mamory vein they are unable to go thru the chest they must go thru the back and under the left arm, due to the position of the heart thru this way they are unable to use the heart lung machine, does anyone have any experience with this procedure and with the outcomes? I am new to this and terrified for my parents, I can't ask them for any additional info as they have limited what they have told me, I hope someone can help shed some light on this procedure for me, thanks .
