Is there anything I can do about a previous caseworker telling lies about my living situation?
I am a single mother without a job and no money. At this time I am getting by with the help of family members, because of untreated medical problems I have been unable to get a job.
I haven't had insurance steadily since I was 16. I was emancipated and had to refile. I got insurance for a few months then because I had moved in with my dad they stopped my insurance again. I didn't get insurance again until I got pregnant at 19 but once I had my Daughter I lost my insurance at the end of that month.
I have applied and reapplied time and again and just keep getting turned down. The last time I was able to talk to someone I was told that they had been contacted by the caseworker who handled my case while I was pregnant and that she did not think I was truthful on my applications. I told them they could investigate, they said they were going to and they would contact me with in a couple weeks. I wasn't given a number to reach them at and of course they never called, I have applied for assistance 2 times since then and have gotten no response what-so-ever. The only number I have is my past caseworker, I have called many times and she never answers and never calls back.
I have contacted the higher-ups about this and have gotten nowhere with that.
The two times that I had appeals scheduled I was called the day before the hearing and told not to go and that it was being looked into and that they were going to handle it.. Nothing happened.
Some advice would be much appreciated!
