I am 32 years old. Been on high blood pressure since my daughter was born (when I was 23) due to pre-eclampsia. When I went in for knee surgery a few months ago, the drs. discovered I had a left bundle branch blockage. A month later..I had a miscarriage and it was then my dizzy spells started. I hate saying dizzy spell, because you think of having an ear infection and get light headed. It isn't like that. I went to a Target in the halloween section with the flashing lights and it hit me like a train. My head roared and buzzed and my head and roof of my mouth buzzed. I couldn't see anything and just wished it away..I knew that if I let it get me I would be passed out. It faded in about 40 seconds and then I just felt yucky. 2 weeks later, same Target, same section..hit me again. A few days later..getting off of the elevator..same thing. And then again at a mall where the carpeting set it off.

I had gone to a cardiologist who did an echo and a stress test, all came out fine. So now scared - I went to my internist today and he thinks I have a heart condition that he says is common in woman of child bearing age and I would just take medicine. In order to diagnose it I have to wear a heart holster for 27 hours. If that doesn't show up..he wants me to wear a different heart monitor for 30 days..and then if nothing, he wants me to go to a neurologist to get checked out for brain tumor, MS or epilepsy. I am scared out of my mind. Advice? Anybody have this?

If I was you I would try not to worry about it, I no its easy to say then do but I bet you your fine! I had to wear one of those 24 hours holter monitor's because i was having skip beats! Why does your doctor think you have a heart condition? Just because of the dizzy spells? I get those same things when I'm at the mall or like a casino or something and my doctor says it has to do with panic attacks! The first symptom I get though is the real dizzy feeling and then my ears start feeling clogged or something, i dont no its a weird feeling that just comes all of a sudden and it only happens when i'm out shopping or in a crowded place http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif

very similar episodes after the birth of my second daughter - wore holter monitor and event monitor - 4 months total and found nothing - stress echos all ok too - also sent to neuro to rule out ms etc.. nothing.. then finally had a really bad spell and cracked my head open - in hospital a week.. was then sent to electrophysiologist and did EP study and found that i had 5 different arrythmias with heart rates up to 250 which was causing my dizzy spells.. had two surgeries - ablated a total of 10 places and now heading for a pacemaker because now my rates are in the 30s....... so your doctor may be on tract with the cardio guess.. unless you are a nervous person then it very well could be panic attacks... just be careful psvt alone are not deadly but the symptoms of passing out at the wrong time can be.. so follow up closely and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions.. mine was all pregnancy induced and i was told it happens more than is talked about.. best of luck
