I took aciphex for over year and am now on Nexium. I didn't have any problems while taking achiphex but every once in awhile the heartburn would return even while on the medication. I was told however by the doctor that the medication may cause stomach polips. I have them and have had them checked. I also read on the internet that polips may be caused by the Aciophex and other acid reflux medications. Don't worry about this happening as always check with you doctor with any real concerns.
