Hi..im 19 5'9 230lbs and just about 2 or 3 days ago ive started noticing it hard to fall asleep, feels like my heart gets really weak when im about to doze off..and i somtimes find myself gasping for a breathe of air right before i fall asleep. i have also been feeling some Stress/anxiety or somthing on my chest/heart and my heart beat feels real weak or fast( maybe im just imagining this). Also have had some minor chest pains not too often though..if this matters ive also just got a cold and stuffy nose pretty much right after this started happening. And help or suggestions would be great..Thanks.

HI http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif I doubt its any thing to be worried about , but too be safe I would just make an appointment, I'm sure your fine! Maybe it has something to do with your cold, possible your head and nose being kinda stuffy could make you think your pulse feels like its beating weird http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif Are you having any other symptoms? Go see your doctor though too be safe and afterwards you'll feel so much better just having peace of mind. Hope everything works out for you and Good luck

Nambus, I'm wondering if sleep apnea is the problem.

ive had that before. at night especially when extra tired my heart would feel weak. then as i drifted off to sleep i would feel my heart jump & be gasping for air. heart would be pounding too. this happenned off and on for a couple years. after reading about it i concluded it must be sleep apnea or my skippy heart acting up. i lost 30 lbs and havent had it since. so most likely sleep apnea.
