View Full Version : Is it possible to have ReA with all negative bloodwork?

My Doctor "thinks" I have reactive arthritis but all my blood work has come back negative (HLA B27, ANA, Sed Rate, CRP, Rheum Fact, CCP, prolactin, lyme disease) both at the begining of my illness in Dec 2007 and as of last week (Mar 2008). X-rays/MRIs showed mild OA in hips, SI joint and L5, but I am 40 and have had a very active life physically. Is it possible to have reactive arthritis and all negative bloodwork, and no pain or stiffness in the morning? My pain began immediately following a urinary tract infection in December and included severe pain in my hips, lower back (sharp), buttocks/sit bone, bottom right foot, mid spine sensitivity to pressure, broad upper back/shoulder pain. I feel great in the morning though, and have no detectable swelling, stiffness or redness anywhere. Everything feels about 75%better now after begining Lyrica last week, a lot of exercise and a new low acidic diet.
