Can Nexium make you dizzy after a few days of twice daily?

My 15 YO daughter has been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus. She is on nexium 40mg twice a day because she has bad pains in stomach and mid chest area. They can't identify the cause of the stomach pain so far with colonoscopy and endoscopy.

She started Nexium last Wednesday night. She rode in a car monday and got dizzy. We all thought it was car sickness, but yesterday she is still dizzy as well as today. I told her not to take the nexium today and called the gastro office. I am waiting for them to call back.

She has no other symptoms, will bring her to pediatrician tomorrow to make sure its not something else he can find.

I'm 18 and I've been on Nexium twice a day now for a couple months cause of severe reflux symptoms. I have noticed it makes me a little light headed after my second dose of the day but nothing I can't tolerate. Not sure why it does this, but I refuse to stop taking it right now as it is basically my life savior until they figure out what exactly is wrong.

Does her doctor have her take it after dinner and before bedtime? That's when my second dose of the day occurs and I find if I get myself ready for bed soon after, the light headedness isn't as bothersome. Maybe you can have her try this. :)

Hi, she takes it before breakfast and either before or after dinner. Its supposed to be before, butsometimes we forget.

She will be off for a few days to see what happens, then maybe we will try to get her back on and if she is dizzy again we will know

Thanks again
