View Full Version : Appendicitis?

Just understand that I'm a hypochondriac and my wife's aunt just had appendicitis, so I of course start watching for symptoms like a silly man...

I was probably overreaching when painting a child's room the last two days, plus I do have Prostatitis at the moment. Anyway... I have a little pain mid belly and it also goes laterally to the side, mind you this is a fairly mild pain that doesn't stay around all the time. If I sit still it's not there, if I lay flat it's not there, if I breathe in to overflowing I feel a slight twinge, but that also moves my stomach muscles.

I'm just wondering, I don't have rebound pain, it hasn't interrupted my diet, I don't have nausea, it's not a "constant pain" and it's only been 2 days now. Would I be fairly doubled over and have a decent amount of pain with appendicitis? Like I say, I've still got a general feeling of discomfort from the Prostatitis as I get it under control, so maybe I'm just fishing for something else to be wrong?!?!

It sorta sounds like transverse colon cramps and/or spasms associated with treating your prostatitis.

With no rebound pain it is not your appendix. The pain with appendix problems is pretty severe!!

Oh, hey Harry, good to see you're still around!

Yeah, the wife and I have been also eating BADLY this week as the little ones are gone to gramma's for the week during Spring Break. I just ate a horribly bad for me lunch and had a weird "I'm not sure I feel good" feeling. I think I'm just eating badly.

I'll deal with it. I was just worried and trying to make sure I'm okay for our family vacation here in a few weeks. I suppose the best way to do that is the eat sensibly...thanks!
