Two years ago they were 132, now they are 125. japlopper 03-20-2008, 05:58 PM That's not that far off the mark from normal. Depending on the lab, the minimum can be anywhere from 140,000/150,00. Your platelets vary much even during the day, and there isn't much difference between 132,000 and 125,000. Now, if they continued to drop, then you'd need to see someone. Signs of dropping platelets are easy bruising. If you have no other symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it. I have ITP, which means I've experienced plenty of spells with low platelets. My lowest was 10,000, and there's no way I'd have overlooked it, as I was bruising at a touch - even holding a pencil bruised my hand. Jill |
