I'm on Propranolol for SVT and high blood pressure..I have only seen a small difference..so small, not even sure is I have any improvement..I was wondering how long it takes to work..should it work with the first pill or does it take awhile?

I would give it 2 weeks. You should notice a change in your blood pressure by then. I'm on the same - Inderal LA 60mg but still having the headaches - so they will most likely increase it or change the drug. I noticed immediate blood pressure changes but consistently changed after about 2 weeks.

Be aware: Betas will definitely make you tired!!

Not that I know of. If you're having chest pain, definitely call your doctor asap. It could be something else!

hi you all,
give it time, could tak a month or 2. It took me a while, feeling tired and chest pains too, if I rem, also pulled muscles there so hard to tell. It is much better now.It took me a long time to feel better, I am pretty much back to my self again. been on it for a year and a half now.

No big tim episodes so that is a big relief for me.

Good Luck to you all...
