After hand & feet x-rays my rheumatologist (I've not seen one before) diagnosed me w/'erosive' osteoarthritis.....I'm also supposed to get a bone scan..she put me on generic meloxicam - 7.5 mg - On my own I take
Naproxyn. She was kind of 'fascinated' with my x-rays she said :(

Anyone else diagnosed with this?

Sorry to hear this. The prescription she gave you is generic for Mobic. You should talk with your doctor about taking Naprosyn at the same time as mobic because their the same type of drug-anti inflammatory.

I was diagnosed with erosive arthritis also called Kelgren's arthritis in my fingers about 5 years ago.It seems to be genetic and happen mostly to postmenopausal women. I stopped taking prescription drugs about a year ago. After awhile none seemed to help with the pain.I have not found anyone else with this type of arthritis, probably why there doesn't seem to be any specific treatment for it.
At this pont, I have been referred to a surgeon to see about replacing the joint of at least one finger for now. Trouble is, I don't know haw successful it would be.
Hope you find a good treatment, let me know and I would like to hear from anyone else with this type of arthritis and how you cope.

April
