Hi all,
Not wrote in a while.Still plodding on and taking each day at a time. Am now taking propanolol 80mg and have recently tapered the cipramil off and stopped that med now.

Well since tapering the cipramil off i have noticed i get these really odd sensations in my head and body that i can only describe as an electric kind of rush. They are really odd. They dont happen when sittting, only when in motion.Any one have any symptoms like this? They are freaking me out!

Like i say i am still battling on with this head demon and take each day at a time. One of my main symptoms now, which i hate is pressure in the back of my heas to the left side,it radiates down my nech sometimes.I know it will develop into a headache so i always take some pain killers, but it usually returns later in day.Any one get theses?

I am really trying with the whole diet thing to cut out triggers too! I find some days i am so tired by lunch time that i need a nap,is this typical of MAV? I am trying to be as active as poss and to push my self as much as poss also.Is this the best route to go or should i take it easy? I am naturally a busy person and love to "potter" in the garden and such like.Plus with a toddler you have to be on your toes!

If anyone else has any MAV tips and suggestions please let me know as anything gives me hope that one day i will beat this junk for good!

I do have days where i feel great and others where i feel ok,then others when i feel down right lousy! I find if my mood is good i feel better. But if i am a bit down my symptoms ramp up or seem all the more worse and im in for a awful day!

Just got a treadmill,is this advisable to use, will it help.Makes me feel a bit funny when i get off it!

Anyway happy easter to all and wishing you all a dizzy free day!

Hi, Maria--

Do you think the electric rush feelings might be what some people call "brain zaps"? I have not experienced these, but I think they are not uncommon in folks who are getting off of SSRIs. I'm not sure how long ago you stopped your meds, but you might want to look that up if you think it might be applicable.

Hi Maria,

I think what you are having is what Violet said. Brain zaps. Supposedly they are harmless electrical currants in our brain. I had them very bad when I first came off my klonopin over a year ago. It took a long time for them to go away. I had one a few months ago that woke me from my sleep. I also had very startled reflexes; meaning I had a weird sensation like you get when someone sneaks up behind you and says boo only I would get them with all sorts of things from certain sudden noises to sudden movements. I bet it is coming off the med that is triggering them. My advice would be to come off the cip very slowly; probably even slower than what you doctor is saying.

They are awful, but I can say they do go away.

Feel better.

Gloria
