Here in Texas you can saddle & ride them little suckers.
West nile has had everyone freaked out & quite a few cases.

I have & always will be questioning why you can't catch anything spread by blood from a mesquito since that is there main diet.
If one bites someone with HIV or HCV or anything else & bites you shortly afterwords WHY NOT ?
All due respect to those who say it can't or won't happen, but why not ?
I know I am in no risk group so I got it some where.
Why not a mesquito, sex, dentist, a shot, ect.
It's getting too wide spread to just be blood to blood.
I think alot of that early on information although well intended at the time only served to help spread hcv by making people think they were not gonna' get it sexually & it helped put the stigma out there that it was a druggie disease.

Somthing to think about there R., although odds are low, as once a mosquito sucks blood out of you they lay their eggs and die, having a life span of only days.
BUT- I have personaly saw a mosquito get me, to the point it stung and I went to swat it, I missed and it flew directly to my grandson, now it entered my blood stream.
ButI squished it before it had a chance to even try to suck the blood out of my grandson, now IF it had entered my Grandsons blood stream two seconds after entering mine, it would have worried me a great deal.
I am with you here, like I said chance's are probebly low, BUT how much of a differance would this scenio be, as one where a intravenous needle was used on two people in the same time frame.
Like I said I am with you here, and myself am questioning those studies that say that HCV, and others cannot be passed on by a mosquito, its a fact that the HCV virus does not die when outside of the host, it can live for days, maybe even weeks.

What differance would be if HCV tainted blood was on the exterior of an intravenous needle or on the exterior of the blood sucking needle beak of an mosquito.
we have been NOT told scary truths right away before about scientific finds before, as to not scare or panic the public, I myself take precauions and suggest everyone also take precautions when in our great outdoors and use some of the more user freindly bug repellents when outdoors,some interesting food for thought Huh.
