I had a suspicious looking spot on my breast over a year ago. It turned out to be OK. I then had my check-up again in 6 months. Still..everything is OK. However, I missed my last 6 month due to another illness and forgetting. It's been almost a year. Should I be worried? Now, I'm nervous that I let it go too long..even though my last check was OK. Does this mean I have to get a check every 6 months for life now? Anyone experienced this? Thanks.

sometimes breast cancers can be in your system for 10 yrs before showing themselves. i had a lump in my armpit for 4 or 5 yrs and didnt do anything about it. i actually went to the doctor for a small lump in my breast. upon having the mammo and surgery, the small lump was benign, but the two bigger ones were 5cm, in my breast (which i never felt!) and 4cm in my armpit were cancer. i was really mad at myself for being so stupid, but it doesnt do anygood. just get yourself to a doc, and put it, hopefully, behind you.
