Hello, if anyone can answer this for me. In the last few weeks I have gotten a thin, hard, blackish color lining in between my teeth and gums. I have it on the 4 front teeth. Sometimes picking at it I can break it off. Does anyone know what it is. I have no insurance.

probably calculus, aka tartar. See a dentist or hygeinist to get it removed and learn how to prevent it recurring.

Thanks, I went to the dentist on 5-20 and had a cleaning done. They removed the bulid up. I have 3 more visits in 2 week period to do a deep cleaning on my gums. Then after that a 3 month, 6 month, and a 1 year visit. I know for the deep cleaning I will be given a shot or two for the pain, but it will be well worth it in the end! I didnt have any cavities, which was also good. Its gonna be about $850 for the first 4 visits( which will be done in payment, because I dont have insurance. But well worth it. After she was done cleaning my teeth I saw my teeth and cried, :Dit was so amazing and emotional. I can smile again and not be embrassed about showing my teeth. I also bought one of the chargeable toothbrushes, Im flossing. They wrote me a RX for Gel-Kam as a rinse. So for anyone reading this and worried about there teeth and gums just go!
