Howdy all-
I received a pile of paper work from the U of A Hospital, regarding the beggining of my Pegasys adventure.
I am so impressed and feel so fortunate to be part of this one in fifty that will receive the Pegasys, we will have as many medical professionals working with us as some small countries, twelve specialists from the hospital alone, along with many nurses, medical tech's,psychiatrists and also a combined medical staff from Roche,on top of that they will be in communication with our regular MD's.

We will be monitored, tested, documented, and well taken care of, as well if we suffer any long term side effects, all medical cost will be taken care of, all for the cost of signing my name, almost too good to be true huh.
From what I understand from the paper work is these Pegasys treatments were given as a phase 6 study, with the emphasis on side effects, -identifing side effects, treating side effects, eliminating side effects, this will be a study, I beleive to make side effects easier to live with, which is fantastic.
The earlier Phases of the Pegasys studies were concentrated mostly on results and fighting the HCV virus, it is great that Roche is taking the studies this far, instead of like drug companies that say these are the side effects, take it, deal with it.
They are really pounding another point hard here also, with the Ribavirin, -safe and safer sex, even if your spouse has been surgically sterilized they want TWO safe sex methods used, because of serious effects that Ribavirin has on unborn babies.

I was chosen and meet all their critiera, I will know a lot more on friday when I go in for the tests, no liver biopcy at this time -WHEWW, I will keep posting details for anyone interested.
Be Well+
