I've been on Yasmin for 6 months and have been experiencing SEVERE stomach cramping, bloating and pain in my intestines that leaves me short of breath and dizzy approx once a month for the same period of time. Only recently have I made the link when my trainer told me she had similar problems and changed BCP and the pain stopped. I have seen a gastrointerologist, have done countless tests but never found anything. Usually the pain starts right after I eat or as I'm finishing my meal. Stress might be a trigger. Thought it might be IBS.
I've experienced some weight gain (might not be related to the pill) and my skin has cleared up. Otherwise quite content with Yasmin. My pack is almost done so I'm considering switching back to Alesse.
Has anyone else experienced these stomach cramps?
Thanks!

Hi,
Well I am experiencing some what the same situation...but my cramps are not too too bad. They come and go but I have only been on Yasmin for almost 2 months. Its mostly at night when I do feel them and then maybe sometimes during the day. But I have found out that it makes me way more emotional, but Im thinking its because my body is getting use to it. Maybe you should try switching because it does cause some wierd side effects and different ones for certain people. Have you tried Ortho tri-cyclen Lo? It was good for me, I was on it for 2 years and then got off because I wanted to switch it up.

Wow, if that keeps on happening, I'd change pills! I went on Yasmin to HELP with bad stomach aches during my periods. It really has helped me, but if it's doing the opposite for you, I'd definitely switch. It isn't worth it to feel so bad and I'm sure another pill will work for you. Every pill is different for everybody. Definitely give another a pill a try!
